The goal of this Conference focuses on the research, development and application of the corpus of spoken interlanguage of Chinese language learners.  The Conference is co-sponsored by Nanjing University, Beijing Language and Culture University and Rice University, which will be held on July 4th-5th, 2017 at Beijing Language and Culture University, Beijing, China.

The Conference provides an international forum where scholars could share ideas and innovations about the design, development and use of spoken Chinese corpora.  The 1st Conference was held in Nanjing University in 2015.  The 2nd Conference was hosted by Rice University in Houston.

  1. The major topics include:
  • Interlanguage corpus-based second language acquisition research;
  • Interlanguage corpus-based language teaching pedagogies;
  • Interlanguage corpus-based learning and teaching materials;
  • Interlanguage corpus-based speaking assessment;
  • Collection and transcription of recorded and videotaped spoken Chinese;
  • Corpus annotation standards and methods;
  • Other related topics
  1. Submission of Abstracts
  • Please email an abstract (Chinese 600 characters or English 400 words) to kykhy3@126.com before 4/30/2017.
  • All abstracts submitted undergo blind review. Acceptance of the abstracts will be announced on 5/20/2017.
  • Papers can be presented in either English or Chinese. The Conference will publish selected full papers presented in the conference.

  • Registration fee is RMB ¥800 per person. Graduate students with valid ID ¥
  • The Conference will provide lunch and dinner for July 4th-5th.
